Clearing the pause key alone does not resume anything: draft_matrix.py's wait_for_pause_or_timeout returns False as soon as it observes the key set, at which point hold_and_publish has already exited with nothing left to notice a later deletion

  • draft_matrix.py runs in a separate Job Pod this API process has no other channel into. So /resume recomputes a fresh recommendation and republishes it immediately - the human already decided to proceed, so there's no cancellable delay window to wait through this time, unlike the normal auto-draft path.

Passes the league's stored draft_config.mode explicitly to publish_draft_target: this handler runs in the FastAPI gateway process, which (unlike the per-league draft-sync Job) never has DRAFT_MODE set in its own env, so publish_draft_target's env-var default would otherwise always resolve to "live" here - silently defaulting a practice-league resume to DRY_RUN in draft_clicker.js with no error surfaced anywhere.
